Your birds are beautiful and your photobombing Shepard is cute too!

Thanks, Stacy Buck's my Boy. I don't know where your located I'm in slidell. Your welcome to see how sweet they are. My rooster would never chase or attack any people or kids. He's the Run away guy when he feels danger. The hens are sweet too they fit right in my flock no fighting and I had 4 roosters at the time. I have 2 pair left and they are auto sexing too.

Okay, I have 3 jersey giants, one with a splayed leg that I have rubber banded to help walk and strengthen the leg. And one Marraduna Basque has pipped! Yay!Not bad considering all the problems I've had!
Ricrow, how did the one do with the backwards foot? Do you think it was a development issue in the shell during incubation? What kind of problems did you have? Sorry if you posted them already I may have forgotten. Congrats on your hatch.

Howdy All, And Howdy all of the folks that are new (at least to me) I'm an old timer on here.... I'm sad to report that something broke into my coop, and killed ALL my ducks, all but one Coronation Sussex hen, and my Millie Fleurs... Soooooo I'm looking for Coronation sussex eggs. I sent Twiley at Gramby's Farm, but I don't know if she still has Coronations. Also would like to find some Millie's Fleur.

Good new's to report, all my seramas are ok (must have been too small to mess with) and all of my original flock which is 2 BO, 2 BA. 3 EE, 4 BR's and 10 Seramas

Joe
Oh noooooo, Joe, so sorry to hear that. I'm 20 miles east of Shreveport in Haughton. I only have one Coronation Sussex and she's a slacker like all my other girls. Not laying yet. No male either. Wish I could help as these are truly beautiful birds. Great to hear from you. We northerners need to keep in touch. Cody is in Ruston or close. I'm mainly dealing with the Blosl and XW White Plymouth Rocks and will be starting to breed them this spring. If they EVER start giving me eggs.

Thanks Cody! I had two power outages during incubation and then the dog unplugged the incubators for 12+ hours. Then Saturday during lockdown the incubator spiked to 104!
it's amazing I got them hatched!
I think the one with the backward leg is a splayed leg, so I used a straw and rubber band to help it strengthen. So far he just gets picked on by the others.

Darn! You had a rough go. Thank you for explaining.

So they pick on each other that early. Trying to take out the weakest link. Ruthless little bastads!
