I literally just saw this on Facebook. Did you post there too?! Are we in the same groups?!

I did my egg topsy this morning. The yolk was all scrambled. Looks like it quit around day 5, or before. Poor little thing.

So I'm down to 10 going into lockdown tomorrow. Think it's too late to turn on the humidifier in the laundry room?

This chick is a weirdo. No other way to describe it. Goofy high stepping walk and other odd characteristics. But it's pretty "laid back" as you can see. My kid insisted that she lay the chick on my lap and it just chilled for awhile. SMH! Our 1 Isbar.

Got me some Welsummer chicks and couple pullets today. Got a dozen "unfertile" eggs to so I could see the eggs that the chicks hatched from. I'm still tempted to put some of them in the bator.

Nice looking chicks! where'd you get them from? I'd sure put those eggs in a bator at least long enough to candle & see if they're fertile or not. I'm working on getting some more
Wellies myself - still my favorite breed but I have no roo for my hens - all of them are breeder not hatchery - Grisham lines.

I'm on day 8 and did a quick candle this morning. Left the eggs in the try and candled from the top and sides. Had to take the one cracked egg that came from coastline out, was starting to smell.
Pam, one of the Legbar definitely has life in it. One had a blood ring. The one with the rolling air cell never started. I did see veins in the Bielefelders but was very hard to tell what was going on them. I didn't get a count of how many of yours and coastlines were developing.

Like the pics ^ :)

Great news!!! I had a hard time candeling the biele's and the Legbars till right before lock down. Looking back the ones that looked like a dark mass were the ones that hatched. Happy to here you could see life in them. Pam :jumpy
