"Louisiana "La-yers" Peeps"

Right, it was the other kind that came from ideal.

BTW, avian influenza is confirmed in 5 states now. It's being spread by wild water fowl. Its essential to try to keep wild birds, especially water fowl away from our chickens.

Thanks for the heads up. We have no water foul around us. But I'll keep my eyes open. Thank you! Pam

I think my cup is too big?

Hello all :) We live in Opelousas and are getting ready to build our coop. Still deciding on a chicken breed but may get a few different ones. Bantams would probably work out best since they're smaller ;) Then we can get more of a variety lol I love the color eggs marans lay though. But, when asked which came first, the chicken or the egg, in backyard flocks, first should come the coop! XD

:welcome to the La-yers. Pam

Welcome! At least you are doing things in the right order. That's great. There are plenty of people here to encourage your new obsession..... I mean hobby ;)

Lol! Obsession ? She hasn't bought any yet don't scare her away. She'll learn chicken math like the rest of us .:lau :jumpy

I only know one person that didn't end up like us LOL!!! And that was because she had a predator problem and she just could get her coop situation figured out. It was sad. She just could not handle seeing her babies getting hurt. So she got rid of them all.
