Two questions: first, eggs. Should I go ahead and set today's eggs with the rest? Or do they need to rest a bit? Or does it actually matter...?
Second, raspberries. I bought two varieties, a red and a gold. We want to grow them up one of our crosses on site, creating a cool teaching visual (fruit of the vine, crown of thorns, etc.). But the kind I have are everbearing and their recommended pruning is to "mow down" every fall. So should I save my vine-training efforts for a different variety? I also have a dewberry, which might work better...
Good luck with raspberries in our climate -- we've tried several varieties but lost them every time - the heat & humidity just eat them up & cause all kinds of diseases. Dewberries - they're like weeds, easy maintenance! Muscadines would work well also.
I'd go ahead & set the eggs w/the rest.
