"Louisiana "La-yers" Peeps"

I'm very pleased with them. I've had bad luck finding local breeders with good quality stock, but I finally found someone a few hours away. It was much preferable to paying for shipping

My favorite rooster trying out a perch in the new coop. Finally getting close to finishing it!!!

I want to add a few pullets in the pen with the rooster I posted above if anyone near Baton Rouge has some available let me know. Breed is not important, EE and other mixes ok. Thanks.

Anyone have suggestions for water nipples? I am going to put a watering system n the new coop and I have only used the plastic threaded ones from TSC. Is there a better option out there? Are the saddle type any better?

No experience with either but from what I understand the saddle types are for pvc round pipe and the threaded ones are for flat surfaces. Being that the small pvc pipe is smaller the water will heat up faster if it's not consumed quickly. (Think of a garden hose). A larger quantity in a five gallon bucket will be "cooler". Keep all of it shaded and you'll be fine.

Does anyone in the Baton Rouge area have 2 or 3 RIR or Red Star hens they will sell? Need to be at least 5 months old if possible. My daughter is in New Roads area. Thanks in advance.

Lakones, you really went through a lot of trouble painting the framing and everything else. Really looks good. Takes patience to paint what you have. I applaud you.

I was in construction and remodel work for many years. I know what it takes to paint stuff like this. WORK and TIME!!!
