"Louisiana "La-yers" Peeps"

My uncle is soon to start the whole chicken buissness again (he used to raise chickens, not particularly knowing mucch about the breeds) and I was wondering if anybody had chicks 0-3 weeks old for a low price? I will raise them to a couple months old at my house. We need about 15, give or take depending on how many you could sell. Thanks!

I have some mixed breeds I'll sell cheap. Pam

No I don't think I can say it fast three times! Lol! I can hardly get it out one time.:duc they are another rare breed from Germany. Big beautiful birds gentile like Biefelders.i have Lemon coukoo Niederrheiners. Seems like German breeds are named after the town they are from.

I have decided to plunge into incubating some eggs from my hens.for those who incubate eggs, how high do you aim for your humidity to be? I have read posts where some recommend 40-45%, 50-55, 60-65 up to day 18 then up to 70%. What has worked for yall here in Louisiana?

Dry hatch 30% or whatever it is in the incubator with no water added witch can be higher. It will go down as you go. I have had hatch that never went quite that low due to our humidty. I bring it 40 to 50 on day 18. I have done mine higher but get better results with it lower. I also move my eggs around in case of hot or cold spot in the incubator. Pam
