I hope the fertility is good, especially on the cuckoos since they have only been laying for about 6 weeks or so. Those shells and the FBCM x are dark AND thick. Is there a particular light or candler you would prefer?

I really think 6 weeks laying is good enough, Ms Pam has set pullet eggs and i bet she knows!

Ive been looking at the mini flashlights at our Advance Auto every time we go in there lol! Hubby says i have a good flashlight, but I need a higher Lumen for the darkest, thickest eggs. I have like a 250 lumen mag-light knock off. I should be able to see the veining, and the air cells with it, but who wouldnt like to see more?! maybe ill try the campine, jus for you Tonight, just because theyre gonna be So Clear![/quote]
Poultry eggs will hatch but your chicks will be smaller. I wait for two months unless something has happened I lost the poultry and only have her eggs. Pam

Right now the white Bresse their eggs are large to extra large and lay almost everyday. I'm selling my sumalters from green fire. I have the barbeaux but they are young. Pam

I've give most of mine away, still have 10 hens and 2 cockerels.

Technically eggs are fertile after first mating. This is as long as their isn't to much inbreeding. Pam

Anybody know what this white spot is on my hens face she hasn't been acting like herself for a few days now

I dought its a fly egg. But to make sure is it moving? A maggot would be moving and eating tissue. Pam

Could be after I get some more work finished I'll see what I can find. Could be as simple as an allergic reaction to a bug bite. Pam
