Ok I need to vent. I have a customer who wants top quality, birds that are breed quality. She always try's to play the I'm broke card. I don't know her she lives in a different state. Then I see her on sale pages buying more birds after I cut her a break. So she asked for a price on ultra rare breeds at Pol. These are not birds I've breed yet they are ones I've paid top dollar for and top quality feed for many months. First she declined my price which is fine I wasn't planning on selling till I breed the best and if I have any that don't meet the cut for breeding I'd sell them. Now she says she will pay my price but wants me to throw in shipping.![]()
It just gets me sometimes what people will ask you to do. I came down for her on a rooster. She said she needed another one of a different breed down the road to get me to come down with the promise of more sales in the future. Then said she had chicks of that breed and is hoping for a rooster. I sold her the roo for what I paid for it as a chick just to get rid of him. I really don't like processing rare breeds their numbers are low enough. Any way now she will meet my price but wants shipping included. I'm thinking she got over on me once it's not going to happen again. Sorry for the rant but I needed to get it off my chest. Pam
That's just ridiculous. The nerve of some folks, all for a dollar. I wouldn't deal with her Pam.
Does anyone have a fully covered run or byilding that the chickens stay in all the time? I have the materials to do just that, but don't know if it's a good idea or not. There would definitely be no grass left in there. I do free range pat time and feed kitchen scrapes, but is that enough? Of course right now 2 of my runs have no grass anyhow with all this rain, they're just mud!!!!
