"Louisiana "La-yers" Peeps"

So I opened my back door Saturday morning & this is what greeted me. She's had puppies recently but no milk so they've weaned off. I figure somebody kept the puppies & dumped her. It certainly isn't the first time we've had that happen out where we live. She was wearing a nice blue collar with no tags. In good shape, appears to be young & healthy.

Shy but friendly once she warms up to you. No knowledge of basic commands. Of course nobody's claimed her so far. I have her pic posted on Lost & Found Pets of Cenla and also. B.A.R.K.'s FB page. I will have to find a good home for her as four dogs is not feasible. If anybody's interested let me know please!

Anyone NPIP that could help me out? Looking to get tested and Google doesn't have any up to date info. I would also be interested in additional tests if available.

I talked to both people who are testing in my area. The AI test has changed. They still do the prick test on sick birds, but the test they do on healthy birds is taking 1cc of blood from 30 birds and sending the blood off for testing. Results are not instant. The test can be set up to split the test if you don't have 30 birds or you have bantams. I think I'll get it done this time. I get tested again this week. They are also bringing this test to state legislature in order to charge for the test. So I expect we will have to pay for AI testing in the next year or so.

I was gonna ask you if you've tasted any yet, but it looks like I will be doing my own taste test. I came home from church to find a neighbor's dogs killing chickens. The got 7 of the Breese and my Isbars pullet. One Breese pullet was able to hide and one of the Roos may make it. I've yet to find the Isbars roo.

I'm so sorry to hear this. I hope you can get your neighbor to reimburse you. Pam

where are u located

^ found the Isbars roo, he's fine. Still not sure if the bresse roo will make it. So frustrating!!!!!

It defenatly is. I have extra roosters and owe you a chick. Once the dust settles we can figure out what you need or want. I'd still talk to my neighbor about paying for the damage. That's cost of chicks plus all the feed you had in them. Let me know how they taste. Pam
