"Louisiana "La-yers" Peeps"

We had our testing for the NPIP certification this morning. We tested negative for the PT and AI. They said we should receive the paperwork in the mail soon. They asked if we wanted to also register with some government program so that if there was an outbreak close by they would notify us and send someone out to test our birds. I thought that would happen already with the NPIP testing since it is government funded so we said yes.

My Breese roo is still on the mend and doing well. He can stand up on his own as long as he has something to lean against. His left leg seems completely normal, but his right on is weaker. He can push with it, pull with it, but does not seem to be able to set it forward in order to walk. He also has no balance on that side. It's been 12 days since the attack, maybe there is still more healing to come??? I don't know. What y'all think?

I had my recertification today took from 9:30 to 12:30. Now I know I'm all clear too. Had a federal vet come out instead of the the state guy. She was a lot more through than the guy last year. Busy day sold a Sumalters pair and a Svart hona egg. She may come back for the Sumalters that I have left. Pam

There is no where for her to hide them in the coop and run. Her face has been red for a while now, but I have not yet checked her vent. I will be doing that today though. I have been chalking it up to her reaching point of lay during winter and her now waiting for longer days, but it has reached that point and still nothing. This is the longest I've ever had to wait for a chicken to lay. I'll let you guys know how her vent and pelvis looks and feels
