Do you have Biel hatching eggs? That will work just fine.
Yes I do. just thought you would like breeding stock direct from GFFs but I understand how far away you are. Pam

That is too cool. I know a few bee keepers that still do it the old way.
Hey Pam. Everything is great my way. Thank you for asking and thinking of me.I have good news non chicken related. I just received my new flow hive. So eggcited. I will video as I go and post it here if anyone is interested.
On a separate note...Cody are you ok? It's been a while since we have heard from you. I hope all is well. Pam

All my birds are doing well. I get so many eggs now I don't know what to do with them.
The barbs are still growing and the pullets are such good layers. I haven't culled any cockerels yet. Looks like I may have to put my plans for a 2nd coop and breeding pens on hold for awhile.
I'm finally in the financial position to build a house. Probably won't be until next year. I'm saving all my extra money to put toward it instead of chicken stuff.
It will involve tearing down the existing structure I live in and renting an apartment for awhile. I have a contractor that will work with me. So I will be working on the construction of the house to save as much money as I can. I'm getting an early start so the last few days I've been cutting trees to make way for the dirt work. I'm designing it myself and will have someone draw up the construction plans.
I'm so glad Spring is finally here. I plan to do a small garden again this season.
In my impatience for Wyandotte eggs I did a bad thing..I have a silver laced hen shipping out on Wednesday from Pennsylvania and getting here on Thursday. She's a year older than my pair and in a mild molt, but is from completely different lines and has some features that are missing in my pair. She will be the last outside addition to my flock for a long time as of now.
In other news, all of my other birds are laying in full swing. The Japanese are being very active. I have a hen brooding a clutch of eggs I have yet to count. The other hen brooded babies for me in October and I kept one daughter from the group. She laid her first egg for me this week. I also have two dozen egg in the incubator from the pen. The young cockerel is still growing in feathers, but I am not surprised since the cockbird did the same.
The Marans are laying machines. I've finally got the incubation corrected and have a lot of people waiting for chicks. I'm still in search of a male for them
