"Louisiana "La-yers" Peeps"

Sorry for the spelling errors. .. auto correct on my phone. I have never had bumble foot in my chicken, like I said this was told to everyone at the Marans breeders conference this last year during a presentation on flock health. Thought it might be an interesting natural product to add for flock health or that someone would be interested. The website was on the picture. ;) I'm sure bacteria can cause it too, the reviews on the product were great and looked much simpler than the usual way of taking care of it.

No worries! It was just too funny to pass up :) my flock hasnt suffered it but my hubby found a BBW turkey hen who was in terrible shape and i had to try :/ she was so far gone that after two wks of trying, i returned her and told him to put her down. You know, It might be helpful, like anything else; The treatments differ with the severity.

Well, I didn't fight the temptation too long. I ordered some Icelandic eggs for the incubator. I like the idea of raising a rare breed and since I plan to let them free range, these sound like a good choice. Anyone else here raise them?

Super excited! My chicks are being shipped out today so I will get them tomorrow or Thursday morning. Yeah!!!

My neighbor had some for a while. His were great free rangers but didn't want any contact with humans. But, knowing their human I can't blame them :). j/k

Yes they made it this morning. I ordered ten but one didn't survive the trip so I have nine. They are all thriving and are super cute! It was storming when we got home with them so I put their food in a dish temporarily. My feeder is out in the shop. They are all eating and drinking very well now and very chatty. LOL
