Now if only it'd stay that way, been trying to set up our run for a little while now but the weather seems to go nuts when we make any kind of progress!I know, right? Blue sky, 68 F? Perfect!

I have my daughter and her current boyfriend rebuilding my ancient coop. Unfortunately, while he was building, she set into tearing down the old one. Now the poor birds are totally confused and homeless as one coop is half destroyed and the other is half built. They have relocated themselves as a group into one of the goat stalls in the barn. The goats are a bit aggravated, but no one wants to get rained on.Ugh, miserable weather today. I hesitated this morning when I was letting my girls out to free range, but it's better than them standing in a muddy run all day. They have access to the coop, but in true chicken form took the dumb route and have been standing on the patio absolutely DRENCHED and screaming to be let in.![]()
My sympathy, hope they help her. Let us know!Taking another bird to LSU vet because there's no other avian vets near. This time, it's a bleeding prolapse that won't go back in.![]()
Oh no, poor buddy! Praying for both of y'all.Well the roo I been trying to get rid of forever got out and whooped his dad's butt. I don't know if dad has eyes under all that scab and crust. Pic is a bit gross. Dad's not tame. I was able to handle him some. He's really sore and depressed. I managed to clean him up a little & got him to drink and eat. I also put some antibiotic opthalmic gel over his eyes, trying to soften the gunk. We shall see.
