"Louisiana "La-yers" Peeps"

Thank you for replying. Yes, I have seen her drink, she just quit eating. And, because she is isolated in a cage in the house I can see exactly what she is eating. Virtually nothing. In the beginning I could entice her with cooked egg, but she stopped even that. She acts like she is going to eat, but stops and doesn’t. I have not tube fed her. I was wondering if I could make a watery mush with her feed and syringe it down the side away from her windpipe like the attached photo.

I would make it really watery. You are braver than I!
Do you have someone to help, that might take more than 2 hands.

Have you tried raw egg yolk? That always convinces mine to eat something. The mush would be difficult- any chunks in the feed (like corn) will clog the syringe.

I agree. I’ve brought them back from illnesses. Once I had two birds I got together grown and they just dropped dead. Necropsy showed worm overload, one dropped dead and necropsy showed a twisted bowel. Brought back and lost a couple from sour crop. But, this one baffles me.

Thank you. I have tried raw egg and cooked egg and cooked chicken, all of which are huge favorites. She will take a bite but That’s it or no bite at all. She is still eating watermelon and spinach. Small amounts, but it’s something. I think she ate a couple of dried soldier flues. Not sure, but they were moved. She is still alive.
