UGH, I'm so sad. I haven't had any eggs for 3 weeks now. I know they're not happy we moved them from Utah, but 3 weeks worth of egg with holding? I would have guessed only a few days.

anybody have any suggestions on what I should do to help them calm?

That's actually pretty normal. Especially if it was a long move and a big environmental change. I know I've read people just moving there's from one coop to another and they quit for a couple of weeks.

I hope they start laying for you soon.

I'm really so new here that I don't know. My girl who was laying had only been laying for a week before we moved from Utah, so I hadn't gotten to where I no longer needed to buy eggs from the store. Yeah it was dang cold there. even the 30s we are having here are a HUGE step up from the teens we were having there. The girls do seem pretty happy out here. they're talking a lot more than I noticed back in utah.

Also, anybody know where I should get some feed? I can't even find a grocery store I like, let a lone a place to find chicken feed. OY!

I'm from Monroe orginally, don't know much about Calhoun but in West Monroe (by the Ike Hamilton Expo Center) there's a TSC. If you're coming from Calhoun on I-20 East take the Thomas Rd exit,stay to the right, take the service road on the right.. You'll see the Ike after all the restaurants,on the left.

If you take a left on the Thomas Road exit (going on the over pass) there's a Super Wal Mart. It's always busy,traffic is bad there.

I hope your girls get settled in soon, that's a long trip for them. If you come across some spanish moss, my chickens LOVE the stuff,keeps them busy on rainy days.

You'll love the extreme weather,shorts one day,coats the next,lol.
