Went out early this morning to open the coops and feed up and all of the animals were up and ready to get out of their coops. It is so wet and nasty out there. I can't wait until it dries up.

Ya.. The rains killin me& the girls..Runs still mud.
I've been waiting for the ground to be dry enough for the dump truck for weeks now. My new run is going to be a hill(for drainage)

Pricing question? My Black legs have been laying so we are hatching some out. What should I sell the day old chicks for? I have been trying to get an idea of pricing but since they are "rare" I have seen them for $60 for a pair that are a year and a half. http://fayar.craigslist.org/grd/2188153622.html For just a rooster, $15. These are going to be straight run babies so I am not sure what is reasonable for our area. I know the feed store sells easter eggers for 3.50-4.00 each but those are for "hens" (even though we still ended up with a roo) Any thoughts? I was going to take names of interested parties and put them on a list to contact as I have some available since I am only hatching out 5-12 per week.
