No six chick minimum. We bought 4. Lady in front of us bought one. No signs either. They advertise with an Easter theme. They in my opinion purposely promote the Easter connection locally.

WOW!! See that's just wrong. They usually have the ag & limint signs to specifically discourage the Easter buying chick fad. I know ours do.

Did you check out the feather site to see if you could find yours on there?? I'm not sure by just looking at them what they could be. I know another thing you could try is post the pics on the meat bird section and see if they have a leghorn thread. Those 2 places might be able to help you.

ETA: I was looking at your pics again. Are the ones your questioning bigger than the other 2 you bought with them??? And how does their size rate with the ones that are 2 1/2 weeks old??

In the pic they look awfully big!!

The yellow ones which are the ones I am concerned about are actually pretty equally sized with the red ones I got at the same time. The black chicks in the pic are the ones who are about a week older and they are actually noticeably bigger. Sorry...it is really hard to get perspective from the pic I was able to take. so far they arent any larger nor have they grown any faster than the other two breeds. Hanging some hope on that! I am not sure when the meat birds really take off in growth and surpass the other breeds?

From what I've read it's pretty quick that they get bigger so you might be in luck. Give me some time and I'll look for this thread were someone posted a pic for comparison between her reg chicks and her meat birds. Can't do it now my MIL is on my laptop and I'm posting from my phone. But I'll try to find it for you. K

Was supposed to bring a few chicks but lost the pm so tell me who and what please leaving in about an hour headed to expo
