I'm sorry about your roosters.

About your insurance, isn't that just lovely!!

You pay, and pay, but when it comes time to use it there's always something. Also, it seems that we have to pay more than our fair share considering the premiums we have to pay. Even on group policies the co-pays are outrageous. I have high blood pressure and can't even get the meds that my Dr. prescribes because the insurance company says that I have to try this, this, & this before they will pay for my Dr. prescribed prescription. Go figure! Who's the Dr.? I hate insurance companies!

Good luck in finding another Dr.

Thanks!!

Well, I did get some good news today!! I was finally able to talk with the lady in Human Resources that's taking care of my DRI. She had already left workMonday when I called her and yesterday she was in a workshop all day!! So after explaining everything she got on it and because they are taking care of it 100% they will let me go there. NOW, if I ever need another one of these after my year is up and I have to pay for it myself they won't take the ins. My back doctor is Dr. Girod! He's one of the best!! Now my appt is scheduled for April 4th. My follow up is April 18th. They should release me back to full duty them and I will have been off work for 2 months!!

Sounds crazy but I'm so ready to go back to work!!

I take blood pressure meds too and even though the ones they gave me worked great it cost me $50 a month so I asked them to give me a generic. Well they gave me Lisopril and I think I had every side effect I could have from it. I can't remember the name of the stuff they just changed me to but so far so good!!

And your right the insurance situaton is getting ridiculas!!

Hello! I'm new to the forum and you could say chickens! lol
My daughter (she is 11) and I recently purchased 12 black Copper Marans chicks (Grisham Line we were told) and so have begun our affair with chickens. Our babies are two weeks old today! Getting fat and sassy! And today we got a splash silkie hen (1 1/2 yr old) that my 3 yr old grandson named Tookie (two-key) lol. So hopefully we can learn alot here and purhaps at some point be able to help others!
Oh, we are in eunice louisiana!

Glad to see you. You are right down the road from me. I am in Opelousas. You will definitely learn a lot here. Every day is a learning experience.

Welcome to BYC!

I'm around the Sulphur area. I'm not as close to you as Kuntrygirl, however, I travel pretty close to you regularly on my way to see family in Abbeville.

Congrats on the Black Copper Marans! I love Marans!

Report on Coronation Sussex:

I recently put 3 Coronation Sussex pullet eggs in the incubator..., tonight I candled the eggs and all three are developing. I saw movement in all three.
