Glad to see that you're up and online. Thanks for checking in. Was worried about you. I'm sure the fresh air will do you some good. If I could overnight you some Boudin, you know that I would. I love Boudin!!!

I'm in Southwest Louisiana. What is American Game? I'm assuming game chickens? I don't have any game chickens. I did hatch six pheasants this morning, though.

What part of southwest Louisiana are you in? I'm near Sulphur.

not far from you, Welsh - Lacassine area. american game fowl

Hey Julie, I've been out and about the last couple weeks. My husband changed jobs and we've been moving apartments from Ponca City, OK to Texas City, TX. Our home is Louisiana but hubby's work is where ever the money is

He used to be contracted but now he's a permanent employee so hopefully this will be the last move til retirement. Now, I'll be spending lots of time in Kemah and Galveston. There's lots to do there.

My son is doing great. He's actually doing too good. It's been almost 4 weeks since he broke his leg. Last week, I had to fuss at him to take it easy. He rode a bicycle to see if he could use his leg. Kids!!

He's young (30ish) and anxious to recover.

My poor little turkey was doing great up until yesterday. I opened the hutch to feed and the turkey flew out. I didn't know that it could already fly. Before I could catch it it ran under the house, then came out on the other side of the house, then ran under a utility trailer, and before I could catch it one of my cats pounced on it and ran off with it. The cat would not give up the turkey -- the cat ran under the house and ate my turkey.

What part of Louisiana are you from? There are a lot of good people on this thread and this site that have lots of good information. Sounds like you will need some good egg layers. It's addictive. Trust me.

Welsh here.. yea I never thought chickens would be so addicting, lol.

They are addicting! Hubby bought me a nice cabinet incubator a few weeks ago. Last week, I hatched close to 100 chicks, this morning 6 pheasants - I'm waiting on two more to hatch, and plenty more chicken eggs in the incubator, and more going in. "Uh--Honey, you might want to work a little overtime to buy chicken feed"...

Julie, hope you can get that chick fixed all up!! I HATE jury duty. We used to be exempt but they make us go now!! Now isn't that a funny site a juror in uniform!!

Hope you can get your get cheaper. There is a place in Port Allen that some friends get their cattle feed from, not sure if they sell the feed you need. Will try to find out what the name of the place is!!

A juror in uniform..., that is funny! They won't pick you. There's no way a defense lawyer will allow you on the jury. You KNOW too much. They'll want someone that can sway. It is inconvenient to have to spend a day or so waiting though. Bring a good book.
