"Louisiana "La-yers" Peeps"

I'm a firm believer of removing the plant and most importantly the root system so that they cannot return. Since you are highly alergic to it I don't know what your options are for removing it. Can any family member remove it for you? Round up is next best thing.

Congrats on your chicken coop. I recently got a new cabinet incubator and have been "trying it out". It works great!

I have lots of baby chicks for sale if you're interested in any babies. I have Buff Orpingtons, Rhode Island Reds, and Black Australorps.

Kuntrygirl, those baby guineas are so cute! I love those lavendar ones. You do such a good job with your broody moms!

Barred Babies, I'm with you..., I'm not going to cohabitate with any darn snake. I leave the little garder and ribbon snakes alone; however, the poisonous snakes and any questionable snakes are history. If my dogs, cats, and geese don't take care of them I certainly will. I learned to shoot a gun just so that I could shoot the snakes. I'm sorry if that offends anyone but I have nine young grandchildren that run around my house from time to time and I don't want a poisonous snake endangering their lives.

That looks like a proud rooster!! I like my roosters, all of them. Unfortunately, I only need 2 and I have 10. As soon as my smashed finger heals, its stew time!

Stew... -- YUM!! I have a few hens that I plan to do away with that will face the same fate. My husband has been bugging me for a fresh baked hen. I may need to make a stew for him, too. He is new to the world of having fresh chicken to eat but is very eager for the experience.

Ok, apparently I'm either doing something wrong or I'm going crazy. I was just killing time waiting on DS to go to sleep so I figured I would check out a few of y'alls BYC pages.
The only thing it says is that the page was created by ..... then the number of times the page has been viewed, but nothing else is coming up. No pics no nothing. Help?!?

There may not be a page created. Take myself for example, I have not yet created a BYC page but I do have a website partially constructed. Some of our BYC members have created BYC pages. I think Bayou Poules and Country Girl have created BYC pages.

I haven't created a BYC page - I do good just to get on here & post! did finally figure out how to post pics. One of these days I'll do a page too.

My stupid incubator spiked to 102.6 yesterday -- I am desperately praying that it did not compromise my Welsummer hatch - they are due next Tuesday. This has been the longest incubation -- I don't think it's ever going to be over!!!

Hey Mike, I'm close but chances are I won't be around. I still spending quite a bit of time with hubby at his apartment in Texas getting everything put in place.

Also, next week I will be making a trip to pick up five adult Sebastopol geese that were GIVEN to me.

These geese were bought as goslings directly from Dave Holderread's "show quality" lines. I am thrilled to be getting these geese. The five consists of two pairs and one extra male.

Wow Twiley! How did you score those? I want to see pics!

And Mike we are about an hour south of DeRidder. Good luck with your woodies. The ones we got are doing great!

When I bought my original six Sebastopols I had arranged to buy them with a lady from North Carolina. However, I ended up finding some in Tennessee which was quite a bit closer for me and bought them in Tennessee. I backed out of the sale with the lady in North Carolina and lucky for me she didn't hold it against me. I later joined the Sebastopol forums and became friends with many nice people on the board -- the lady from North Carolina being one of them. I recently posted that I was looking to buy goslings and/or adult Sebastopols. She posted a reply to my "want ad" and asked me how far I'd be willing to travel to get them. She figured that I'd be willing to travel to get them since I had planned to travel to get goslings. I emailed her and let her know that I wouldn't want to travel to North Carolina for 1 or 2 geese but for a few it might be worth my while. We emailed back and forth and bottom line was that someone was looking to give away five adults to a good home. Preferably, they wanted them to go to someone that already had some sebbies and was knowledgeable about the breed. Also, she wanted the geese to stay together as a "family". So, Basically, I got lucky. I was in the right place at the right time. I will probably go to pick them up next week. We're still working out our schedule. Needless to say I'm thrilled. I'll post pictures when I get back.
