Hmmm... I don't know what is up with that showgirl! I wish I could give you more info on his background, but I bought him as a chick from someone else. I am glad that the wheaten is working out for you though. I kinda miss having him around. He was getting to be quite a handsome guy! My lavenders are doing really well though, so I'm sure it won't be long before I have a new favorite roo!
We didn't do anything special for the pond. Just dug a hole one week and spread all the dirt out. I plan on digging another one strictly for the geese / ducks that I will put a lot more thought (and money) into. This pond was dug mostly to use the clay as a house pad and build the property up a bit.
I don't think the NPIP will be that bad, but I know we will be sweating our butts off out there. We are getting started at 10:30 so it will be good and steamy by then!
All of my blue showgirls turn dark blue!!!... I have no idea why.I now have 1 blue roo(sold the other one) but I have 2 blue partridge and a black tween(tween babies and time I can sex em...lol) Two more younguns about to go on the ground.Blues I think. So many I can't remember...lol... Then I have about 10 month old whites, about a half dozen couple weekers, and I just cleaned out the nest boxes two of my SG hens have been setting and got 9 SG from one hen (5 partridge? and 4 whites) and 2 whites from the other.
Hope LA is better than MS....My NPIP went smoothly last year. But I still don't have any paperwork!! My testing was done in OCTOBER!!!I have never received anything in writing other than the initial copy of the test. I contacted the woman numerous times ,and the best I've managed to get is my NPIP number. She slways says she's going to get me some selling forms and such in the mail tomorrow.Tomorrow has now been 6 mos(8 mos since testing!!)
