Well, I can see both sides as far as NOT keeping him and keeping him. If you keep him, you will always know where he is and he won't be able to attack again but I agree with you, who wants to keep a chicken killing dog.

The rest are fine, they are just on high alert, they are all huddled up near the house & they are to startled to be "herded" back into their pen. I'm just happy that it wasn't one of my hens! The hen pen is much more fortified than the roosters tractor.

I would like to ask y'all to keep my Mawmaw in yalls prayers I was informed she will be headed to new orleans hospital because of a mass on her liver we go this afternoon to see if it is cancer or not but thanks a ton for the friendship and prayers I really appreciate it

Thanks for asking. My day was ok. It rained for about 30 minutes. I stayed in and watched the Lifetime channel ALL DAY. I tried to take a nap but it seems as though every few hours someone was stopping by to purchase eggs. I sold 7 dozen eggs today any my usual order from my Saturday customer of 4 dozen eggs. Now I have to try to make sure my regular weekly orders are filled for this week.

A few people stopped by and wanted laying hens to start their backyard flock. I think many of these people think that we backyard flock owners will just give our hens away for free or cheap. They think that laying hens are $5.00 a hen. OH PLEASE !!!! I don't know anywhere that you can buy a LAYING hen for $5.00. I don't think they realize how much money AND time we invest in our animals. Feed IS NOT free.

Well, that was my day. And tomorrow is work.
