I did...lol....Ya'll all talking rain again. All we get is the visual promises...lol...Maybe some good wind for a few minutes..then whooosh... it's gone...

Whisky Bay that is so ridiculous about your paperwork!

I am definitely going to thin my flock down; I need to reduce my feed bill esp. since I will be joining the ranks of the unemployed as of the 29th of this month, so if anybody wants a trio of my black Ameracaunas or a trio of Welsummers let me know! The Ams are, let's see, 3 months old now & the Wellies are a month old and yes, I can sex them (well, about 95% on the Ams at this point) so if you want just girls I can do that. Extra roos can always go to freezer camp. PM me w/an offer!

That's why I was giving bits and pieces to make it a juicy story. LOL

I have rehomed a bull calf(Dozey), pig(Oscar), rabbits, and numerous cats and dogs. I only rehome an animal to people I know or that a good friend knows. And only if they agree to return it to me if there are any problems.
I am not living at my farm yet, the electrician we hired ripped us off. My friend and I are out there every day, if not all day then a few times a day. The majority of the fencing is 5 strand hot wire. Eventually other sections are going to be fenced with red-top fencing. There is one horse, 20 pygmy goats, 1 lamb, 5 geese, 1 mallard, 2 turkeys, and 9 chickens at my farm. All but the chickens roam the pastures. My 2 turkeys are toms, but one is having an identity/gender crisis right now( he is setting goose eggs,lol). All of my critters get fed morning and night. We keep 2 large round bales of hay available for them at all times. We have a small pond that we are digging deeper. They get fresh water every day to every other day. I have a farrier that comes out every 5 - 6 weeks. I do not have a farm animal vet at this time because the one I used passed away recently.
I have bottle fed numerous animals successfully, ranging from squirrels to the bull calf. I have 2 squirrels that are going to be released at my farm after hurricane season is over.
My dogs and cats either get along with all the other animals or ignore them. I have 3 cats, one that plays with the goats and 2 that ignore them. I have 3 dogs, 2 that play with all the animals(or try to,lol) and one that pretends they aren't around him.
I cannot think of anything else to tell you, lol. So if you have any questions please feel free to ask. I also have pictures.

When I read that she does not live on this "farm" and she goes out there every day and perhaps a few times a day, this worried me. Now don't get me wrong, I know that people do have farms/property where they have animals and they don't actually live on the property, so this is not unusual.

What do you all think about re-homing this duck somewhere as the place described above where no one will be out there every day to keep watch but says they go out to water and feed daily?​

No housing for duck? That would be coyote bait at my property. I tried putting seven cats on my property before and in a couple months I only had four left so I brought them back home. My cats had an old chicken coop for shelter but it didn't protect them from the wild animals. Don't know what to tell you other than to do what you feel in your heart is the best thing to do.

I'm so sorry... I couldn't help myself...Been kinda boring day for once and I needed to bug someone.....lol...!!!!! It was too easy...lol... And I live in a small fishing community...So naturally it should be "fishy" lol.....

I wonder why the person who lost this animal, didn't post anything. They have access to the internet as evident by their email to me. I googled their name in my area and no name came up but then again, that really doen't mean anything. I will be going around to the the neighborhood and ask if anyone knows this "person" and see what info I get. If this person doesn't live a few miles from me then it's a NO GO.

Could a duck have walked 3 miles or more away from home? It can't fly AT ALL. What do ya'll think?

Lol that is true but then he will also starve too lol no we got a deal he gets to play with his cars and I get my critters lol
