Congrats on the pig! My husband draws the line at pigs and goats. Anything else he's fairly agreeable. But, absolutely NO pigs.

Do any of you sell or raise goats? I would like to get a few to eat the brush around the farm (about 4 1/2 of my 6 acres is nothing but tall grass, thickets, and "popcorn" trees). But I'm also curious about the milk. Do any of you drink it? How different is it from cow milk? How long will they produce milk after they give birth? And how often do they need to be milked to keep from "drying up"?

It's a lot of questions, I never like to jump into anything. I do have some goat experience, but we only kept weathers to eat brush, so I'm completely in the dark as far as milking them goes. Any help is appreciated
