"Louisiana "La-yers" Peeps"

Good morning everyone.

Whiskey Bay, I haven't thought of anything yet but will PM you when I do.

Missi you're right. DRAMA DRAMA DRAMA.

Terri, did Winnie get her swimming therapy in?

Have a good day everyone.

I have got to get you guys some pics of the new birds later this week. We picked up some Belgian Quail D'anvers, and some black Jersey Giants.

The D'anvers are some cute little suckers with A TON of personality. The Giants are just that, GIANT! One rooster is the same age as my Black Copper Maran roo, and the Giant is at least 3 times bigger than him. I wouldn't have thought that a solid black chicken could be so stunning! He is a real sweetie too. You can walk right over and pick him up. I have a feeling I am going to really like this bird.

It was getting dark, so I only got a picture of the D'anver boys. It is a bit blurry. The boy on the right is molting right now, so he isn't looking his best. I will get some updated pics of everyone later this week. I also need to post some pics of the wood duck pen. We got it painted and the floor wire put in. All that is left if to drop the pool in, put a couple of tree limbs for perching, and wire the sides.

When you get the Jersey Giants going, I know someone that has been looking for some for a while. Let me know when you have eggs or chicks for sale.

They are about 4-5 months old, so as soon as they start laying I will let you know!

Almost "good afternoon" -- been listing stuff on Craigslist all morning plus tagging it for a future "garage sale". Office furniture & equipment, some window & door displays, stuff like that.

Congrats on the Sebbie & the Reeves Mike!

bhazell123 -- a potbellied pig? that's one I never even thought about getting - that would put me in the doghouse for sure, lol.

Whiskeybay glad you figured out who your stalker is - that is just scary - hope you

pop 'em good! i can't stand drama queens.-- nice pics you posted!

Julie I feed Purina Layena to the main flock, peas & teenagers get Gamebird conditioner. The Purina is $14 & the Gamebird $17. Plus feed bread, fruits & veggies, whatever I can scavenge from the grocery store, and scratch in the winter. It's gone up here too. I might have to go back to Petrus or the Bayou Robert co-op (they carry Nutrena).

Winnie hasn't started her swim therapy yet, if we get a good checkup Wed. she might get cleared to begin. Right now it is just very slow walks on the leash for 3-4 minutes a couple times a day. Mostly I'm still carrying her around everywhere (which she is getting tired of - she wants to jump & play - but can't do that for another 4 weeks).

I know nothing about goats so no help there, sorry!

The D'anvers are pretty!

Supposed to hit triple digits here - it is SO HOT & HUMID!!
