I just found a new place that sells Country Acres laying pellets for $12.50 for 50 lbs! That's $2-$3 cheaper than either Layena or Dumor brand!!

Terri, be very careful with Nutrena!! I used to use nothing but that and 2 seperate occassions with 2 different kinds (Layer and chick starter) I had a huge ball of moldy food. Thought I would loose my whole flock when I caw that!!

Cadjien.... I do staggered hatches all the time. Not sure what type of bator you have but I have 3 cabinets. I simply take the ones ready for lockdown and put them on the bottom. Its Outta the way and off turners. That way my others still get auto turned.

That really sucks Mike. I hope you get that sucker tonight!

Be on the lookout for a cat too. Sound like something had exceptional ability to grab and cling to be able to pull em through like that. Set some live traps out with some tuna. The culprit will probably be back tonight. Good luck.

And where are YOU going MIKE? ! What's your doctor's name and address? I'm writing that down NOW!

CAUSE I'M TELLING ON YOU !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The doctor said that you need R & R. That means Rest & Relaxation. That DOES NOT MEAN RIDING AND ROAMING EVERYWHERE ON GOD's GREEN EARTH !!!!

Your blood pressure is up right now and this is no time for you to be galavanting on tour again. BUT if you're not going until the end of the month, then that gives you some time to rest, so I guess I won't have to contact your doctor AND REPORT YOU.

I'm just picking with you.

Mike, do you have cameras? That would surely help you out right now. You could roll back the tape to see what got your babies.

Wow!! Mike, it looks like someones got your back. Better do what she says or she is liable to hunt you down.

My last hatch was staggered over the course of a week and I had good results. If the eggs are viable and your incubator is reliable, then you should do good with them.

I got my land bush hogged today. It is a lot of work dealing with all of the grass that was left. I will have a really big compost pile for my next years Spring garden. I put my eggs in the incubator on Sunday. All of them made it without a single one broken, so Im happy with that. I have 51 eggs total in there and my wifes button quail started laying, so we will be adding some of those in a few days. Its exciting to incubate eggs. In 20 days, if everything goes well, I will have a bunch of chicks once again.
