I will never forget the first time I saw ducks "bump uglies." I was 10 years old and I thought that one duck was attacking another and that it's intestines were hanging out...boy was I wrong! I am incredibly grateful not to have been born a female duck!

lol i was told they were playin leap frog

That is exactly what we told our 5 year old on our last zoo trip!

Well, I was going to post in the "pest" section of BackYardChickens forum, but I figured I'd ask y'all first.

We have bees living in a cedar bird house really close to our house and area of the yard where our children play. The comb is overflowing at this point. I was going to have a professional come out and then I had someone who was interested in keeping the bees call me, but he won't be set up until he gets back from vacation in a few months. I've heard that, sometimes, when a colony of bees gets too big for the space they are living in, that they will raise another queen and start a second colony nearby...which I'm afraid will be in my attic or the walls of my house! We've already had a bee scare where we thought they moved into our house, but it ended up being mud daubers and was easily resolved. I do NOT need honey in my walls!

What do y'all suggest?

Know anyone who would want them (I hate to see that honey go to waste!) or should I call and have them removed quickly? I wish I were brave enough to steal some honey--I haven't had fresh honey like that since I was a child and my grandparents kept bees! Deeeeeelicious!

As usual

(I also realize that my neighborhood is kind of redneck verging on white trash, but I love it here!!!)

Julie and I talked quite a bit about worming not to long ago! I've been doing some serious reading on it since. I've decided to do the 2 dose (I guess you can call it) since my birds have never been wormed before. From what I've read it recommends to use Wazine first and then 10 days later using the Ivomec Eprinex pour on. I also decided to wait till it cools off some since some say it's not really good to do this when it's so freaking hot. Now my question is this... I know that you have to throw the eggs away for comsuption but I was wondering if it's okay to incubate the eggs??? Anyone have any experience on this??? Thanks!

If I were you, I would post an ad for a "bee keeper" to see if they can come out and remove it. I don't know how much they charge though.
