"Louisiana "La-yers" Peeps"

Quote:
I just read an article about bartering and I think it's worth a shot. I read that this lady bartererd her boyfriend's car mechanic skills for an appointment to see a doctor for a physical exam. Good thing she did, because the boyfriend had prostate cancer. This article was in one of the Tractor Supply magazines.

I say do it Gracie. You never know until you try.

The article is called..........

Fair Trade: Try getting what you want without spending a dime ............ By: Noble Sprayberry.

Hey there fellow La-yers was just on here catching up on all the hoopla and when I read about not being able to afford any more free stuff I chuckled and remembered something I told my mother the other day.

My sister works for the attourney that is a court appointed lawyer here in Vernon Parish anyhow he's always giving her candies and stuff he purcases from the local school kids fund raisers and stuff. So the other day it was chocolate covered raisins. Well I like chocolate covered raisins alot (esp. the cheap ones from DG) in fact I like chocolate covered almost anything alot. So I got me a box of them and of course scarffed them down like there's gonna be no tomorrow, then proceeded to tell Mom well they were alright (you know in that dissapointed like slurr they're okay at best surely not as good as the ones from Dollar General). Of course her automatic answer right off the bat was " hey well at least they were FREE" I responded, "yeah, sometimes free stuff is good" then she gave me one of those looks, didn't have to say nuthin,' I politely hushed up my trap and proceeded to meander my rump right on outside to find other intrests at that moment. I have gotten a little smarter as I age, somewhat.

I love "Olivia's" page. Olivia did a great job. I love the pic of the egg. You have some beautiful birds. Stunning!

I especially love the pic of the eggs in the pan.

I think I may have eggs later on as a meal. I'm hungry now.

That is the prettiest egg! It really does look like marble!
I love your BYC page; will have to get mine up one of these days.

Ya that is a cool looking egg!

I FINALLY got out of the bed today because I needed hay for the sheep and goat. Who knew that 4 feed stores later, I would finally find some hay.

Now, I"m going back to bed. It started raining on my way back from the feed store.

Yea its raining in Lake Charles at work so its slow. I could be home chillen right about now. Went to a landscape place on lunch to pick up some pea gravel for my brood pen. Tired of the mud in there.
