Im so ready to hall some sand in I cant stand it. I have 3 fenced in pens a coop and a brood pen. The brood pen has pea gravel, just did recently and so for I like it seems to work well. My coop has a 2x4 border so I think Im gonna try the sand thing in it first and if I like it gonna fill other three pens in too. I never notice odors (probably just use the the little smell) but gah when it rains and just mud and nasty and stinks I cant stand it no more.

I'm looking for some one in or around New Iberia Louisianna.
You see,
My new daughter in law (she's perfect) is visiting us up here near Chicago.
I raise Ameraucana and sell their eggs. She loves my birds and they lover her.
She wants some of her own.
She can't have many to start and shipping from here would be prohibitive because of the number she could handle.
I'd like to find some one to incubate a shipment of eggs from me.

I would send a good amount ( more than 12)
You would incubate and hatch.
You and I could make an agreement on what you want in return - perhaps I could pay you in hatching eggs.

Any good hearted souls, geographically desirable, and willing to help out?

I wanna do the same thing but not sure if I wanna go through all that trouble when we're about to start buildimg the new coop & runs!!

I even thought about putting pine mulch down too!!

Sand is a MUST have. That was all we used in our coops and runs. The sand pulls the moisture out if the poop so it just dries right up. Rain drains to the botton so that the coop and run isn't wet. We put 6 inches in every coop and the birds will spread most of it. Sand is cheap and is WELL worth the money.
