Gracie, you might want to consider a Drs. appt for the snake bite/scratch. While it may be a minor injury, snakes bites are also dangerous for the amount of bacteria they carry in their mouths. You may need to be put on antibiotics to protect yourself against a secondary infection from the bacteria. If nothing else, put lots of antibiotic cream on that cut.

Thanks for reminding us that we are in prime time snake season. I've been cleaning up construction debris and have been careful but sometimes you just can't be careful enough.

Thanks everyone for the well wishes.I think he is finally doing better.Gosh,with all the drugs he has in him you'd think he'd be a VERY happy horse.He's had enough dope to make a crackhead drool.So glad I didn't get pulled over last night on my way home from meeting the vet.She had a HBC (hit by car) at the clinic,so she met me with all the drugs.Thank goodness I pretty much know everyone at the SO,cause I had a truckload of drugs...lol...My son said he was bailing if we did...lol.... I slept in the back of the van with a pillow for the night.He looked a lil worse this morning,but finally started munching some grass and hay. Still hasn't drank much water though.

We finally got some true sun today.(of course,i had to be out in it all day.)

Everyone is trying to get rid of potbelly pigs....I wish you luck. I'm trying to give away some rabbits.2 of them were mine 1 velveteen rex doe and 1 blue eyed white netherland dwarf male.Along with 2 that were dropped off here and I have no idea what they are...lol... Any takers?...lol....
Did ya'll see the ad on their for the juliana mix piglet? She has reduced it to like $700....lol... It was $1,000!!! GEEZ!!! I love porky,but not that much...lol...

One of the reasons I never applied for the police force...I don't run...lol... I would be eaten by zombies if I wasn't able to trip someone...lol... I have done rescue work with them and animal control,and mounted S&R and backup mounted patrol.Get me on a good horse and I'm unstoppable. Put me on foot and we're both screwed...lol...
I just cleaned out my feed trailer.I literally had over a hundred bags in there!!!

You really do need a quiet day.

Glad to hear that your horse is doing a little better.

If I lived closer, I'd sure take that extra Pekin. The ones I got from you are doing great. I put my Pekin hen with the group and she appears to have fit right in. In fact, she and the male were doing headbobs to each other the next day.

I can't take the credit. It was all MISSI. I was just there typing and asking how the rooster was doing. KUDOS goes out to Ms. Missi and her strong boy for making it through. I"m glad that he is doing better Miss.
 
A co-worker bought me a box of pears this morning. It's one of those boxes that copy paper comes in. She said that she knows someone who has pear trees and there are tons of pears for the picking. I will probably go there this weekend and try to pick a truck load full. Will probably give the majority of them away.
