NPIP in Louisiana is free. They come out and take a bit of blood from the wing area of ur chickens, ducks, turkeys, geese and place it on a slide with a chemical susbtance on there. The results are read within a few minutes. They will tell you if the testing is positive or negative.

You can email Dr. Barrington and ask him for more information out NPIP. He will provide you the name and number of your local state vet.

Glad to see you online. I was wondering how you are doing. Maybe someone will buy your roosters. They are beautiful. Too beautiful to process.

Hope all is well with you and your family.

Mine will not eat dry catfood for nothing in the world!!

Mine suck it up. I will throw some out every now and then. They love it.

You know that's what i read and they just turned their noses up at it. Then my dogs wanted to eat it so i gave it to my mom for her cats!! I think I'm gonna try canned next time!!

Thanks everyone! It's been a long day and I'm still having issues with my brain wrapping around this. <sigh> Maybe it's because I've had about 7 hours asleep since Sunday afternoon. My nephew had autisum, had a major serizure and started vomiting through his nose & mouth and aspirated. They never could bring him back!! Thanks again for your thoughts & prayers!

Missi, I can't begin to imagine the pain your family is going through. It's very difficult to accept a death of someone so young. This situation terrifies me because these are the types of students that I teach. Each year, I pray that a child not have a major seizure while they're in my class. If it ever does happen, I pray that God is by my side to guide me and all those around me. Take care.
