Well I got what I wished for not to long ago. A job close to my house. I drive 50 miles back and forth to work each day, which isnt terrble. But I got a job 5 miles from my house. 10 miles round trip not bad. I wasnt looking for a job it just fell in my hands. Im pumped I can come home for lunch everyday if I want, check on the birds and all lol.
Today was a crazzy day. First of all I left for lunch 15min. early to go take pre-employment drug test. I waited for ever, then they said I had to go take a physical

. Im 28 and never had a physical before

I didnt know what to expect. So I called my future boss and asked him if that was correct he said yea. So I was like ok no prob. At least it wasnt near as bad as expected and I passed it. I was gonna give my two week notice tomorrow but I figured since I took a 2.5 hour lunch break, instead of making something up, not have gotten drug test results back but knowing I passed that to I gave my notice today..

ok maybe not. It went better than I expected and they where understanding, and I think alot of people where upset that I was leaving. So on to a new adventure. I will be working at a Case IH tractor store.

Good morning everybody! it was almost COOL this morning -- 70 degrees when we got up! I'm fixing to head out for my morning trek. Then I'm going to boil some chicken to de-bone for enchiladas tonight.

It is SO nice to have just TWO flocks to feed! The youngsters are merging nicely with the older birds. I am one happy camper. Two waterers, several pans & the peas' pool to fill, two feeders -- it doesn't take any time at all anymore. I'm actually starting to enjoy my birds again.
