Mike, how did you know!

Believe it or not & contrary to popular belief, it's VERY easy to live in my world. If you follow some of these few things that were taken from my list of 2999 ways to stay healthy, then you would be ok.
gig.gif

1. Don't walk through the area where a person has coughed or sneezed with his/her mouth wide open or did not cover their nose when sneezing.
2. Limit hand shaking to a very minimum.
3. Do not allow the cashier to give you your change back after she has sneezed and coughed in her mouth and touches your money.
4. Clean your office phone, light switch and door knob after a sick co-worker has visited your office and left his/her germs and then ban them from your office until they are no longer sick. Also spray your office with Lysol once they have left.
5. Make sure that visitors who are sick (cold, etc.) do NOT enter your home.
6. Use hand sanitizer after pumping gas, using a grocery cart, touching a door to enter a building, etc.
7. Do not eat out of the office snack bags after a co-workers has stuck his/her hand in the chip bag. You don't know where that hand has been.
8. Wear rubber gloves when doing chicken/animal chores.
9. Take green tea extract tablets every day.
10. Drink a cup of hot green tea EVERY DAY.

These are a few simple rules that I follow as far as human bio-security.

Follow these rules and the other 2000+ and you will have a long life of being healthy and staying out of the doctor's office and not calling in sick. This is a proven method that has worked for the past 17 years of my life. Oh, and you'll have enough sick time to give away to the your other sick co-workers who call in sick on a monthly basis because they didn't take my advice.

P.S. Mike, there ARE some days, that I'm afraid to breath. I don't know who has exhaled breaths of (germy) air right before I have arrived in that particular space.

I wish I could...lol...But for one, they just don't work for me...and for two,I'm the home security...lol... He sleeps too hard. Plus if the girls wake up,I have to be with them. I'm keeping myself going this morning with running back and forth to the door and windows.I let 4 of the 5 big dogs roam together for the first time today,so I'm keeping watch. The two biggest are my 8 mos old Dane pair and the smaller ones are the APBT.a 2yr old and her 6 yr old dad.Ive let him run with the two girls before, but this is the first day the Dane male is with them.So far doing real good.Luckily it's hot and everyone is kinda chillin in the shade.

Teelapins everyone is shooting you straight about the feeding. I have a friend about 15 yrs old that wanted to raise ducks, game birds and turkey. He couldnt believe the quantity of eggs my birds produce being he would get 1 maybe 2 eggs per day with almost 50 birds total. Found out he was free ranging and feeding scratch as a main diet. Got him to switch to a good layer and pen down the hens for at least 1/2 the day and now has more eggs than he can hatch now.
They need the protein and minerals from the layer.

Hope everyone else is doing good am still on the hunt for me a new rug

Just put out 11 RP poults so hopin my Pyrenees has it together and if not will be getting that rug soon

Gracie are you still needing that Lav Roo ?

Finally had a chance to get back on the thread for a few minutes! I have one really nice Black rooster, so I think I will just stick with him for now and get some lavender splits. You did tell me that breeding back to the black is better anyways right?

I lost my only blue splash maran pullet sunday, so I recruited my mom to hatch me some more eggs while I am gone. I never thought I would be getting eggs mailed to my mothers house to hatch for me! They had 15 eggs when I talked to them Saturday, and they collected them up until yesterday. Hopefully they make the trip ok.

Oh, and I also lost about 6 of my silkies while I was gone to an unknown predator. I'm guessing owl or chicken hawk since there was absolutely no evidence left behind. I relocated them to another pen, so hopefully that solves the problem. It sucks being away from home all week
