"Louisiana "La-yers" Peeps"

Finally got the feed storage building finished AND painted. Here are a few pics. I finally found the color paint (Barn Yard Red) that I wanted at Wal Mart but they only had 2 cans left and they haven't had any more since then. This is the color that all of the coops and stalls will be.

AWESOME!! love that red color!! Our first barn was that color (lost to a hurricane long ago but still fondly remembered - had some good times there).

So, are the rabbits for eating? (by people, I mean) or for show or pets?

Yes, the mothballs do tend to run away whatever gets in their path-- I've used them for years w/good results, I just got lax this year, with the job layoff & broken legs & all.

I need to get back on the boric acid/sevin dust/DE dusting around the house too - killed a roach (but he was wobbley) on the porch last night. Gotta keep up the regular routine if you don't want to use major chemicals around here. You snooze, you lose!

I want a new chicken breed; just not sure what I want....

Great picture there , loved it , nice utility barn you made .

Missi , I will take some photos and post them one day this week .

Ya'll are talking about a wormer Valbezan and Safeguard . I use Wazine for both pigeons and chickens . It's time to re-worm , can you get these at a Feed supply store ? Most things like this I can cross use , but for the pigeons I have to recalculate doses . Smaller bird . Do these kill gapeworm and tapeworms ? I have ivomec that is formulated and all I have to do is put two drops in my pigeons . Got some Vitamins and Electrolytes at Tractor Supply and I had to lower the mixture to 3/4 to 1tsp per gallon of water for my pigeons . I know we need to alternate wormers so they don't get a resistance . I alternate from Novalsan to Oxine when I dis-infect lofts and coops for the same reason .

Missi, ever hear about a show called "Extreme Couponing"? Well, I will tell you my life of "Extreme Recycling". I will post first thing in the morning and explain my 2nd after hours job of how I go through my days and weeks of finding things and saving money.
