Oh yes sir, and now all you need to go along with all that to make you feel right at home on the farm is: Some geese and ducks from Twiley, some peafowl from terrie or kuntrygirl and turkeys and guineas form kuntrygirl too mabe a few sheep and goats to blate ever so softly for ya'll now and again. Then you'll have enough excitement and noise around there that notihing wiil dare invade your solidarity or blissful solitude way out there in those sticks there Chris.

oh yeah how about a big ol 2000lb Brammer Bull just to add a little extra tone in the mix too

Hey y'all! Hope everyone had a good Christmas.

Honestly, I spend zero time dealing with my chickens right now. My husband and kids took over duties during my pregnancy, but I'll be back to it soon. However, mine is nothing compared to what you guys have going on. I have about 30-ish chickens, and we fill up waterers/feeders twice a week and gather eggs every day, and that's about it. And if I have chicks, I deal with those (changing wood chips/water/feed)twice a day, but I don't have any right now, and I'm pretty happy about that.

After things get back to normal, I do have to get some more pea gravel for my run, because all the gravel that was in there has gone wherever pea gravel goes and it is a disgusting slop hole right now with all this rain.

And, it STINKS!!! It's the first time it's ever really stunk. I have some DE I need to go spread out there, but I know I'll need more. What to you guys use for smells?

Also, does anyone elses view look weird, or is my computer messed up?

Sand is your friend! put in a couple loads of sand & it'll help w/the drainage & the smell will go away.

As for the view, IDK, maybe your 'puter is messed up? everything looks the same to me!!

ROF Chris!! those donkeys sure are loud for their size!!

OK I did it, I could not stand it, I unpacked the new 'bator & looked it over & next thing I knew, it was set up & running -- just to see how it worked, ya know? & then, & then,..... well, I have a dozen Welsummer eggs in there----this should be a real test! -- as some of them have been in the fridge for a week or so, & some not, & the evil roo who sired them has been gone for 3 weeks now---but I was cooking w/some of the eggs yesterday & they all had bulls'eyes so the little rat was nailing everything in sight, so I figured what the hay, I'll throw a dozen of the beautiful dark Wellie eggs in there & see what happens.

Like I need to be fooling with eggs & bators & newly hatched chicks w/a new job & tax season breathing down my neck.... but--gotta do something for excitement around here! we don't have satellite or cable!

I'll have to give sand a try, thanks!

My view looks fine now in my office...must be something going on with my laptop at home.

My husband went to gather eggs last night and found a stash of eggs one of my marans had been hiding in a crate on the ground. The odd thing is, I've been saving my maran eggs for the past few days for a lady that wanted some hatching eggs, so I'm going to give her those as well. I wonder if they'll hatch?

If anyone is interested, someone is giving this ________ away for free. I can't even type the name, I'm so afraid of them.

Free ~6mo old splash silkie rooster. He is a very handsome boy who we thought was a girl until he decided to crow. Unfortunately we can't have him in our neighborhood. Very friendly and easy to handle.

Please respond via email.
