"Louisiana "La-yers" Peeps"

Ok, I finally, (well not me but someone else) set up the incubator. The instructions were followed and everything seemed to be ok. Temps were steady. When I woke up at 2:00 AM (my usual wake up time to go to the bathroom (TMI- too much information)), I checked the temps and it had spiked to 101 degrees. I adjusted it a couple times until it was the right temp. I hope that the temp spikes don't happen to often. I'm getting nervous now.

Once you get it dialed in, you shouldn't have any more spikes.

Thanks

I think I have found the best value in my area as far as feed is concerned. I asked around and found some reasonable prices, much more reasonable than tractor supply, but the overall winner is G&H Seed Co. in Iowa. I just bought some Purina Flock Raiser there for $13.50 a bag. They dang near want that much for scratch grain at TSC!

Hey there La-yers, boy I guess this ol gloomy, yucky weather has everybody down and out. there "ain't" been much going on here. I know that La-yers can cluck and carry-on more than this here lately.LOL

G'day

Jeff

You are right. The weather has me down. Not much excitement over here. Just waiting on everything to dry up.

Great price Gracie. Is that the pellets or crumble? Pellets in my area are $18.50 with tax and crumble is $17.50 with tax. Sounds like you found a gold mine over there. :thumbsup

$13.50 for pellets! I think it's what I'm going to feed my entire flock, minus the youngsters of course. I just hope they don't go up on price. It seems like every time I find a good deal, they raise the price next time I'm there.

Well that is definitely a good price. That's what I feed to my flock. And I feed the youngsters the Flockraiser crumble. I don't feed lay pellets any more. You should probably stock up and buy as much as you can. Cross your fingers that they don't go up on the price. :fl How many birds total will you have to feed?
