Thanks! I hope I don't kill them! I got feed yesterday, made a home-made waterer out of an old 3 gal kills bucket (Cleaned and bleached and set out to dry) The babies are doing good in the coop with the big girls now. No more pecking that I have seen. They took right to going inside at night in their new home. Hubs likes the silver one, so I may even get help when I need it! Pretty sure the 90lb bulldog is scared of them though, lol He is a BIG wuss!

As far as the crookedness of the pics goes, umm, I was laying on the couch, laptop on the table, and didn't even notice when I posted them!! My fault!! LOL

Oh well, you can't be perfect all the time! (Or even some of the time in my case,haha)
 
Thank you! I cannot tell you the amount of people that asked me before we got halfway through the sale if I was going to do it monthly! So, I have created a facebook group for the sales and have started planning for next month. Depending on how big it gets, I may have to look into a larger location, but it would still be in Covington or Folsom. It was definitely a success for the first time and many people sold everything that they brought. It was also great meeting everyone, and I am looking forward to the next one.

I ended up selling almost everything I brought. Just took home about 15 chicks and 1 D'Uccle rooster. I didn't have him in a good area, so I am sure he won't last long next time. I was very good and didn't buy anything this time either! I already have the incubators full again!

Well I'll start....There was a Chicken Sale / Swap today in Covington that Brandi put together and I must say for the first time doing this and for the first one that I know of that was held in Covington, I think that it was a huge success! I could not get over how many people were there both to sell and to buy..... it was a packed house! I couldn't get the birds out of my truck fast enough!!! I sold three birds while unpacking, lol! It was crazy!!!! I bought a pair of birds and could have sold them three times after I bought them. One guy bought some birds from me and people kept asking him about buying them and finally someone offered him a price that I told him he would be crazy not to take.....so he re-sold them and almost doubled his money. I just wished that I would have had more birds to sell.

Again....great job Brandi and I look forward to doing it again!!!

Quick check-in -- HI everybody! goodness ya'll have been busy - I have a LOT of catching up to do!
However, we have a NEW COMPUTER at home! - so I'll be able to get on in the evenings again!!! as soon as Jim gets it set up, that is! I figure by this weekend I'll be able to get back online.

Very windy here as well, hope we dont' get a lot of stormy weather -- things just got halfway back to normal again!

OK gotta get back to work -- ya'll take care!
