Ok, I have 1 more pic to post and I'm done for the day.

Here is a pic of 2 of my 4 week old poults. The other 4 were somewhere in the room getting into trouble. They started off in a small brooder box then graduated to a box the length and size of a refrigerator. Let's just say they mastered how to fly out. I have had them in my extra back bedroom. I had their room airing out this weekend and I caught them peeking out. They got VERY quiet when they heard the rest of the animals running around and making noises. If you look in the background to the right, somehow they opened their Purnia Game Bird Starter. :smack

Missi, I know you don't like having birds inside (and neither do I) but these little critters are inside until they are old enough to go outside in a pen. Mopping my back room every day ain't fun when they tear up what I have laid down for them on the floor. :barnie If they were chickens, I would have booted them out a LONG time ago. I will be getting rid of the first batch (they are outside in a secured pen) within the next week. Their soon-to-be owners should be picking them up soon. :ya

they hatch big... I guess my local chick-selling store did not have silkies even the first of march. I wish I could have them. I forgot to check the feet of the bantams, I got 6 bantams now that have no feather-feet/legs. They look big to me... I have a very tiny little one, the beak is way smaller than these in this pic...

Here are 3 of the 5 silkies that have hatched so far. I hope more hatch!

All these pictures of silkies and turkey poults made me want to post a couple of mine! The turkeys are a black color, which surprised me because both the parents are a chocolate slate color

The silkies were hatched last week. I have a blue partridge and what looks to be a silver showgirl
