Love your kennel and coop. If I may offer some advice that I learned for myself the hard way.... The tarp over the kennel is a bad idea. I tried using the tarp over the exact kennels. They worked out great as long as the weather was nice; however, when it rains hard you've got BIG problems. What happens is that the water forms a pool overhead and as it accummulates it becomes extremely heavy and will eventually collapse the kennel. You won't have much warning. You'll go to bed one night and everything will be lovely. During the night a thunderstorm will come through and when you go out to check on your flock in the morning you'll find your kennel collapsed. The weight of the water is not very forgiving and will bend those poles like a pretzel.

I will second what Twiley said for sure!! Have had this happen and almost collapsed my whole coop!! Try adding something in the middle to make it where the water can drain off!!

thanks for the info this weekend ill get a few 2x4s for the center support. it is mostly there to keep predators out while i am away at work. i left the coop open for them to go in and out as they please and the girls did not leave the coop till i got home from work and coaxed them out haha..

I hope to see some of you this year.. I know that Missi is coming, and I know Julie can't come this year. I was hopeing to see everyone from last year, but I understand with almost 4 buck gas.

It'll be good to see ya Mike! Are you bringing anything??? I'll tell you like I told Joe if you do please keep the ducks away from my husband. He got home from TSC the other day and was telling me all about them. Said you know we have that little pool over there.(You know the cheap $8 plastic pools from dollar general!!) We can get some if you want!! NO!!!!!!! I said we're about to be over run with turkeys!! Crazy, crazy man.... I'm almost resigned to the fact that we'll be coming home with some dang ducks!! <sigh>
