"Louisiana "La-yers" Peeps"

When I have the wet weather here for some time the "crud" gets bad too its probly MG, MS or complications from either /or maybe infectious synovitis, Try giving them about a three day round of Terramycin- Areomycin-Duramycin antibiotics it may help and won't hurt if not. Mix One 4 oz. pack in a 1 gal milk jug of water then use an 1oz of the mixture for 1 gal of water per drinker or if smaller waterers, deduce by container amount as long as it come s out to 1 oz. per gal. A good thing to have around anytime of the year for poultry esp.

Jeff

Ps make sure to give them a fresh batch every morning don't just add to the old as the longer it sits the weaker and don't pre-mix the reduced soultion in bulk quantities either; mix up a new drinker full at a time in other words. FYI just trying to be helpful not a bossy or sounding like a know-it -all LOL

Thank you Mr. Jeff for the information, I started them yesterday on antibiotics whether they were showing signs of sickness or not. And you are not sounding bossy or know it all..LOL.

Oh ok, good you got my message. I hadn't seen you post since I put it on here and sometime things get lost in the hoopla(left behind) I just had to put a little pullet in the hospital this mornin for a sticky, gooey eye. I gave her a round of meds and this evening at lock up time she seemed to have been doing somewhat better. Its funny out of hundreds of heads of birds I got here; its always the special ones(favorite or future project ones) that always are the ones who end up sick, dead or something accidental happens to.

Jeff

Coons !!!! They got 3 in 2 nights.

I'm so sorry to hear about your losses to the coon! Jeff is right-it always seems to be one of the special ones or one of your favorites that something happens to. My bantam Cochins & Dwarfs will not roost with the other chickens and something got one of my little dwarf pullets couple of nights ago. I understand how sad and frustrated you must be. :(

Ashleigh - this is a pic of Ruffy, the female sebbie I got from you. I had her in the bathroom taping her wings. Not the best pics, but I wanted to show you the pretty grey coloring on her back. She also has grey on her tailfeathers.

And just because I love my Olandsk Dwarfs so much...I have to post a pic so everyone can see how darned cute they are!

What a nice curly breast on her! If you get those wing issues straightened out, she should be a beauty!
