The hurricane isn't bad, but the mosquitoes are HORRENDOUS! I think I'm going to need a blood transfusion after doing chores.

Has anybody else's feed prices drastically gone up? I'm not talking a dollar or two, but my feed went up $4.50 per bag

I almost had a heart attack when I heard the total. Looks like I will have to buy some food grade bins to store food and just buy in bulk. $17.50 per bag is quite steep. It's to the point where I'm going to have to buy in bulk or downsize.

Better spray down good -- just read an article about West Nile being on the increase here.
We have a client who owns 3 feed stores & he told me a month ago every one of his suppliers had announced a price increase. He wasn't joking! I did notice a price increase here also, although not as drastic as yours - that is just awful!

hurricane hasnt got to bad here yet just a little wind and rain. my feed prices definetly went up I was paying eleven dollars and some change a month ago for a 50 lb bag of grower and now im paying over fourteen dollars now. i bought some scratch to help fill them up and they been getting a lot more leftovers lately.

I have been buying from G&H Seed in Iowa. I was getting Purina Flock Raiser for $13.50 per bag there. Now it's almost $18.00 per bag. I will give those people a call thought and see what they have! Thanks!

i have heard to stick a dryer sheet in your pocket and leave it stick out, that is supposed to ward off the mosquitoes, never tried it but worth a shot!

My feed has gone up as much as $1.00 a bag.

You were getting a good price on the Flockraiser Gracie. I don't think G&H knew exactly what price they were missing out on. A few other feed stores in my area have always sold the Flockraiser for $18.00 a bag. I didn't know Flockraiser was that cheap until you mentioned it months back. I had a friend of mine who has been going to G&H and was buying about 20 - 50lb bags of Flockraiser at that same $13.50 price for me. I'm glad you told me. Now I won't have him make a trip a there to get feed.

If you find anything cheaper anywhere else, please let me know. All of my animals go through about 2,000 lbs of feed every month.
