Gracie? Another incubator?LOL
Well I gave one to my dad, and will probably sell my hovabator if I can get this to work right! Then I would just have my Brinsea Octagon 20eco and the DIY fridgerbator!

I didn't know what it meant either until I married into a family from MamouYES, the shells are harder. I dropped a couple yesterday on the ground and they landed and rolled away like marbles and none of them cracked. The shell is HARD HARD to crack. I have a co-worker that gets guinea eggs from me and she pickles all of them. She says her family LOVES them.
What does pock mean?![]()

I didn't know what it meant either until I married into a family from Mamou,.. they really get into it and remember who was the winner from the year before and now Olivia feels sure she needs Guinea eggs,.. I just want the guinea's for my yard,.. but I only have an acre,.. will they stay or fly off?
Oh I would pay big money to see my neighbors big dogs chased out of my woods!!!!1 acre is more than enough. Well, as far as staying or flying off, they can be trained to stay. Mine were locked in a pen for months before I got the nerve to let them go. My first guineas that I had years ago would leave every day but would come back until they finally left for good. The guineas that I have now, know where home is, so I don't have any problems with them. They put themselves up at night. But during the day, they run into the woods and cause havoc on any stray dogs and cats. They will run them out of the neighborhood with the LOUD screeching sound they make. And they will run back home after they have scared the living daylights of the animal.I think that if you are able to keep them contained in an area so that they know where "home" is, you shouldn't have a problem.![]()

If I wouldn't have saw it with my own eyes, I would not have believed it. This weekend, I spotted a huge tom cat what was walking down the street. One of my guineas spotted it and he called out to the other guineas and then 1 by 1, they all came running to see what the "call" was all about. They took out down the road towards the cat. The cat ran in the woods and they ran behind the cat and I ran behind them to see what would happen. A few minutes later, they ran out of the woods 1 by 1 and I have not seen the tom cat since. I hope he survived.![]()
That is so cool!!!!I'm excited now! Look at what I found for $30I really like the fact that it has a top and bottom compartment. I think I could use the top as a hatcher and the bottom as the incubator. It's also in really nice shape and son't look like a huge eyesore like many of the other DIY incubator projects.![]()
The only problem is that I now have to buy another incukit assembly for the top compartment. I think it would be worth it though. I could pretty much get rid of both my other incubators if this works out how I imagine it. I love projects![]()
