I haven't been to BYC in quite a while. I live about 30 miles south of Charlotte, NC in South Carolina. I have 6 Golden Comet hens and Henry, my rooster... he's beautiful, but I don't know what breed he is. He's mostly black, with red, purple, green, blue...just all colors...He has blue looking legs. All of them were hatched in the Spring! I'm 84 years old and do all of my inside and outside work...I have a trap and occasionally (sp) catch a possum... I have to close the door on the hen house every night to protect my ladies!!

Welcome! I drove through your neck of the woods just over a year ago on my way from the Charlotte airport to Hilton Head and Savannah. Heavenly there, just loved the entire area. That trip makes me want to move south away from the bitter cold that's coming quickly. Maybe we'll be neighbors some day.
