Hi there! I am a new chicken owner as of february. Raised our flock of 12 from day old chicks and enjoyin every minute of it. Never thought having chickens would be so much fun and rewarding. Our flock consists of 8 Red sex links, 1 white frizzle bantam, 1 black frizzle bantam, 1 dark Brahma bantam and 1 cornish bantam. Hope i got all those names correct. They live in a hand built coop made by my husband 
They are great chickens and love treats, bugs and all the attention they could get. My two kids love helping out with them and we all can't wait for eggs to come, hopefully here soon I am a stay at home mom, learning more and more everyday about backyard homsteading, raising chickens and taking care of motherly and wifely duties. We also have an amazing garden that will provide in a few months some wonderful fruits and vegetables. I am will be embarking a new adventure, a feel a push from God, to homeschool my 8 year old daugther for third grade this year. That will be fun as we can do so many projects just in our backyard and incorporate our little homestead. Our family loves God, being outdoors and doing things together! I also love crafts, sewing and reading! Current projects are sewing a blanket and painting handmade signs to decorate our chicken coop So excited to be part of BYC and ready to learn lots of new things and meet lots of chicken owners too!
