Chirping
I just candled my eggs (day 7), and out of 30, only 14 were fertile. All but two were shipped, and I know that can have something to do with it. Is this pretty typical, or am I just unlucky?

xs 2There's a difference between fertility and viability. If the shipped egg gets "scrambled" in transit, there will be no growth. Doesn't mean the egg wasn't fertilized though.
On the other hand, there could be a rooster problem at your breeders and you could ask how fertility has been for their hatches.
