Or talk to your parents about your siblings nasty habits?

Yeah, I've done that too!
My brother thinks I try way to hard to keep it clean. He thinks its ridiculous because birds in the wild wouldn't do that. I told him that an incubator is a whole different environment and it has to stay really clean. I also told him that a bird in the wild doesn't need to have such a high hatch rate or hatch as many birds because that is part of keeping a balanced ecosystem. Only the strong ones survive and then there doesn't get to be too many of one species. And a bird out in the wild isn't trying to hatch a huge batch of chicks or hatch enough to feed a family of 10.

BAD NEWS!!!
The fan in the incubator just stopped working! I know there is still air incubators but without the fan going, the incubator is not getting the heat spread properly throughout. There is a cover that goes over the electrical parts and without the fan going it doesn't get the heat to the place where the eggs would be. So the incubator is not heating up and it is hardly even warm at all, accept within the cover where the heating element is.
You may think that this must have been happening last year and I just didn't notice it, but the incubator was not at all acting like this last year. Last spring when I used it, the fan was working well and it was warm inside the incubator. This is something that just occurred this year, has nothing to do with last year.
Sounds like I won't be using this incubator anymore! It won't even warm up! So much for my experiment! :hit

While a broody is awesome I hope you can get another incubator at some point. I've heard some great things about the nurture right 360 and I myself am currently using a IncuView that I'm adoring. Until then I wish you many broody hens. Lol

Thank you! Is the incubator you are talking about a Brinsea? Can you please post a link to it if you can find it?

Neither are Brinsea but both have gotten some very good reviews from users both on this forum and off. I decided the IncuView fit my needs just a bit better than the NR360 just simply because the included turner works with more than just chicken eggs and I wanted that option available. If you look around a bit I'm sure you can find plenty of people on here willing to give their personal experiences with both of these. :)
