Low humidity troubles

I bought a Harris Farm nurture 360, I cannot get the humidity up passed 44.. any suggestions??
I have the vent closed as far as it said to. But doesn't seem to help..

Did you check it with an extra thermometer and hygrometer?

45% is fine. I have 2 Nurture Right 360s and oddly one sits at 55% and the other at 45% when port "A" is filled. I get great hatches from both.

I have never used that incubator. I would also suggest you make sure your thermometer and hygrometer are calibrated. What day are you on. I usually incubate at <40% on my humidity. The eggs need to loose some moisture and if the humidity is too high it can cause problems. When I take the eggs out of the incubator and put them in the hatchers, I get the humidity up to around 75%. I just put 5 dozen eggs in my incubator. Good luck and have fun...

No I don't, this is our first time Hatching our own eggs with out a broody hen.

The humidity will rise once you have eggs in the incubator. It's a good idea to get a secondary thermometer just to double check your unit even though both of my NR360s were spot on I have heard one person say they adjusted it a little bit.
