Lower abdomen very low

My Easter Egger suddenly has a low belly in her lower abdomen today. She waddles around the yard and sits or lays down sometimes. She has a red comb and isn’t showing sleepiness. She has brown oatmeal type poop. I am not sure if she is eating or drinking. I brought her inside tonight to soak twice in warm water to get rid of the nastiness around her butt area. I don’t feel an egg inside her, although I have never had a hen with egg laying problems. I’m not sure what it feels like. What is her problem? She is an unpredictable egg layer and hasn’t laid an egg for a month. She has been an unpredictable egg layer for two years. Thanks for any wise words,

Is it squishy like a water balloon?

Somewhat, yes. When I feel her abdomen, she isn’t in any pain.

Could be 'water belly' or ascites, fluid collects in the belly due to infection or disease of some organ.
Not much you can do to 'cure' it.
