Lower protein amount for less poop smell?

Fermented feed and sprouted grains (3 days, root as long as the seed) both also work to reduce smell by increasing protein digestibility. That nitrogen ends up in the chicken as opposed to the volatile molecules that make objectionable odors. Basically, increasing digestibility, both through increasing enzymes in the food and more digestible proteins.

Please tell brand names and formulation (starter.layer, etc or protein level) for informational purposes.. which was "strong" and what was less so? :pop
I was using ADM layer feed. There was a stink in the yard (I'm in town, they roam the yard with electric fence) and I thought it was the rain or few or maybe they just needed moved. So I moved them. Smell continued. I actually posted about it https://www.backyardchickens.com/threads/feed-choice-and-stink.1547340/.
I switched to MFA layer and smell disappeared. My husband said it barnyard smell on steroids.
