Please tell brand names and formulation (starter.layer, etc or protein level) for informational purposes.. which was "strong" and what was less so?I had to switch brands of feed due to stink. It was strong. Nutrition labels were not so different, but smell is gone.
Protein has nothing to do with it. It's the various ingredients in the feed that causes a strong or less smell.Does feeding chickens a lower protein amount reduce the poop smell overall?
I was using ADM layer feed. There was a stink in the yard (I'm in town, they roam the yard with electric fence) and I thought it was the rain or few or maybe they just needed moved. So I moved them. Smell continued. I actually posted about it https://www.backyardchickens.com/threads/feed-choice-and-stink.1547340/.Please tell brand names and formulation (starter.layer, etc or protein level) for informational purposes.. which was "strong" and what was less so?
